Caitlin Lamneck, LMSW CASAC is very excited to have joined the team at Great South Bay Therapy. She brings her training and experience as a Licensed Master Social Worker specializing in working with children, adolescents and their families.
Since graduating from Stony Brook University School of Social Welfare, her career has focused on empowering teenagers, adults and families to live a positive and healthy lifestyle. Caitlin strongly believes in providing emotional support and understanding while utilizing various therapeutic techniques and modalities to help clients manage obstacles as they move forward in life.
In 2014, Caitlin helped develop the Social Work Bureau for the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County, bringing a holistic approach to the legal system. In 2016, Caitlin began working as a drug and alcohol counselor in which she had great success in challenging chemically dependent individuals dealing with co-occurring mental health disorders. Caitlin takes pride in her role as a NYS Certified Rape Crisis Counselor and has gained tremendous experience in crisis intervention, assessing and addressing domestic and sexual violence.
Caitlin’s approach includes Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and Positive Psychology as well as many other evidenced based theoretical approaches.
